Meet the team

Meet Doctor Chloe DC

Hello,

My name is Chloe, and I am a Doctor of Chiropractic, having graduated from the ever growing college of McTimoney, with schools and clinics located in multiple countries around the world. My journey into chiropractic care began in January 2019, and since then, I have had the privilege of caring for a diverse range of people from all walks of life, helping them improve their everyday lives.

Throughout my journey, I have been honored with two awards: the Student of the Year Award in 2021, voted for by my colleagues and fellow doctors of chiropractic, and the Lorna Ridgeway Award in 2023, recognising my dedication to the student body and the McTimoney College. My passion for learning continues as I specialise in pediatrics and pregnancy, areas that I am deeply passionate about.

Now a proud mummy to a beautiful son, I am focused on building my career to support my new little family. I have a deep passion for chiropractic care, the connection between mind and body, and helping people reach their full potential by guiding them toward better health and well-being.

Lets create Change Together.

FAQs

  • Chiropractic is a licenced, regulated, non-surgical, drugless form of health care. Working with the musculoskeletal system, which is made up of bones, muscles and nerves that work together to support the body to function. The problems that you may face day to day may be more than pain and discomfort but may even be affecting your ability to function at a higher level. Chiropractic is a form of increasing and promoting your health and wellbeing. Quick, precise adjustments are made to various bones and joints to improve alignment, enhance nervous system function, and support your body's natural healing process.

  • McTimoney is a specific chiropractic approach rooted in vitalism. It's distinguished by its gentle, whole-body method, making it ideal for all age groups, regardless of the main complaint. This technique involves assessing every person comprehensively to gather a solid foundation of information, ensuring that care is tailored to each individual's specific needs.

  • Adjustments are generally not painful, and McTimoney adjustments, in particular, are known for their light and gentle nature. While some discomfort may occur depending on the severity of the issue, patients typically feel a quick, sharp sensation with mild pressure, sometimes accompanied by a popping or cracking sound as gas is released from the joint. Overall, the McTimoney method is considered a more comfortable approach.

  • No, you do not have to be "cracked." The "crack" or "pop" that some people experience during an adjustment is simply the movement of air in the synovial fluid that surrounds and protects the joint. This sound is not necessary for an adjustment to be effective or for a correction to be made.

  • Whether chiropractic care can help you depends on your specific condition and health goals. Chiropractic care is often effective for a variety of musculoskeletal issues, neurological issues and many other conditions. Chiropractic care is widely recognised for its effectiveness in caring for those with both acute and chronic pain. Spinal adjustments can help alleviate pain, improve mobility, reduce inflammation and maintain good health.

  • Chiropractic care offers a range of benefits beyond pain management. Even if you are not experiencing pain, regular chiropractic adjustments can help prevent future issues, enhance physical function, support nervous system efficiency, and promote overall well-being. By maintaining spinal alignment and supporting overall health, chiropractic care contributes to a healthier, more active, and balanced life.

Chiropractic care plays a vital role in general maintenance of health by maintaining spinal alignment, preventing injuries, reducing chronic pain, improving posture, and enhancing overall wellness. Through regular adjustments and a personalised approach, chiropractic care can help individuals achieve and maintain optimal health and function. Whether used as a preventive measure or as part of a broader wellness strategy, chiropractic care offers a natural, non-invasive way to support long-term health and well-being.

Chiropractic care is traditionally associated with physical health, particularly musculoskeletal issues, but it also has a positive impact on mental health. This connection arises from the interplay between the nervous system, stress levels, and overall health.

Chiropractic care is a powerful tool for preventing injuries by improving spinal alignment, enhancing joint mobility, balancing muscle function, and optimizing biomechanics. Through regular adjustments, targeted exercises, and holistic health advice, chiropractic care helps individuals maintain their physical health, reduce the risk of injury, and enjoy a more active and pain-free lifestyle. Whether you are an athlete, a physically active person, or someone looking to prevent injuries in daily life, chiropractic care offers a proactive approach to maintaining and protecting your body.

  • You do not need a referral to receive chiropractic care. While you may be referred, advised, or recommended to see a chiropractor by a healthcare provider, it is not a requirement to start your plan of care.

  • There is no standard time frame for chiropractic care, as it varies for each individual. During your initial consultation, including a health questionnaire and full-body assessment, a personalised care plan will be developed based on your specific goals and desired outcomes.

  • There is no requirement to have scans before receiving chiropractic care. If you have existing scans, providing copies can be helpful for the chiropractor to review. If the chiropractor determines that x-rays or any scans are necessary, they can provide a referral letter to your GP.

  • Chiropractic care is suitable for individuals of all ages, from newborns to those over 100 years old. For example, Chloe, our Doctor of chiropractic had regularly cared for a 96-year-old lady, demonstrating that chiropractic care can be beneficial for people at any stage of life.
